Access to Quality, Inclusive, and Equitable Education(SDG4)
KIE ensures all learners, including marginalized youth, access innovative education through:
• Teacher Professional Development (TPD) – teacher training, mentoring, integrating literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional skills, EduTech, pedagogical entrepreneurship, and Education for Sustainable Development (environmental, social, economic sustainability)
• Independent Education Quality Body (IEQB) –inspection, oversight, and quality improvement
• Pathways to Skills & Success (PSS): PSS is KIE’s three-year integrated program combining foundational literacy, socio-emotional learning (SEL), vocational skills, and economic empowerment. It helps youth catch up academically while building market-relevant skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable opportunities.
• Project Implementation – integrated initiatives in Education in Emergencies (EiE), youth development, and community engagement
• Read, Count, Thrive (RCT) – children: youth-led literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional development; adults: community-based literacy and numeracy with socio-economic empowerment for adults (functional literacy)
• STEM & Experiential Learning – hands-on programs in science, technology, engineering, and math
• Pedagogical Farms – interactive learning tools for entrepreneurship, agriculture, and environmental awareness
• KIE AccessEd Academy is a technology-driven education model designed to overcome the challenge of delivering high-quality learning at scale in low-resource settings. Education Specialists use smartphones equipped with customized applications linked to cloud-based servers for school management and monitoring, while teachers are supported with tablet-based, scripted lesson plans that provide clear, step-by-step guidance for effective classroom implementation.
